Duingt is a pretty medieval village on the edge of lake Annecy, with the Chateau de Ruphy (11th century) and the Chateau de Dhéré (15th century) both of which were formerly owned by the Sales family. The Belvedere foot path leads to a derelict tower and on to the cave of Notre-Dame-du-Lac, where from the ridge you can admire the magnificent view of the lake.
